There are several hidden mechanics in PEAK that the average player has no clue about. These encompass a wide range and include various aspects of the game, such as the Environmental interactions, creative use of certain mechanics, and utilizing your stamina in unique ways. Follow the details below to find new ways to be efficient in PEAK.

The Statue Near the Final Summit

Once you reach the final summit in PEAK, you will find a statue near it. The stony structure will be hidden a little off track from the main path and close to the summit. As of now, the statue does not serve any purpose in the gameplay, but it might add to the lore in the future.

Hot Springs and Defrosting

PEAK’s Alpine biome is harsh, unforgiving, and icy cold. Frostbite and getting frozen by the blizzard are daily occurrences, and heat is the most crucial aspect of survival. Luckily, in the chilly terrains, you can find a hot spring full of Capybaras. Furthermore, you can sit inside the pool of hot water to protect yourself from the blizzard and cold, even if you don’t have shelter.

Lantern’s Light in Backpacks

The Lanterns are an important piece of equipment in PEAK, which lets you traverse through the dark. What many players don’t know about this item is that one does not need to hold it in their hands all the time because they work inside backpacks as well. Simply light your lantern, put it in your backpack, and start climbing. This way, you can keep the area lit and climb simultaneously.

Mid-air Healing

The terrains in PEAK are treacherous, and the mountain is brutal to the players. In such a challenging environment, falling off a cliff and getting seriously injured is always a possibility. However, if you have a good grasp on the game’s basic mechanics, you can eliminate this risk and minimize the chances of getting hurt. To survive lethal falls in PEAK, use a Med-kit while you fall. This will make sure that the progress continues during the impact, and you get up instantly once it is finished.

Conserving Stamina With the Help of Vines and Chains

If you can grab a Chain or a Vine while swinging, it will help you preserve your stamina. Furthermore, this way you can swing across with little to no stamina loss if the far side of said vine or chain is lower or at least on the same level.

Cancel Lunge Cooldown With Lollipop

Players can perform a lunge in PEAK by clicking the Shift and Left-Click together. This move allows players to climb further and faster but has a cooldown. However, climbers can easily skip this cooldown by using Lollipops and move upward at a rapid pace and momentum.

Get Stamina With Medkits

You can get a bonus stamina in PEAK by eating. Surprisingly, once cooked, Medkits and Bandages also fall into the food category, similar to Honey and Mushrooms, and can give you the reserved stamina you are after.
