Florges is a great Fairy-type Pokemon to use competitively, and is made even greater with the best moveset and nature in Legends Z-A.
There aren’t many good Fairy Pokemon you can use in Legends Z-A, which lets a Pokemon like Florges shine. This Pokemon has good stats, a decent moveset, and is a counter against many strong Dragon-type Pokemon.
For this reason, you can definitely use this Pokemon to fill the Fairy slot on your team. However, you should also use the strongest moveset and nature to get the best use out of Florges.
Best Florges Moveset in Pokemon Legends Z-A
- Dazzling Gleam
- Giga Drain
- Calm Mind

Florges is a Fairy-type Pokemon with high Special Defense and Special Attack. This moveset will complement these stats.
Dazzling Gleam is one of the stronger Fairy-type moves Florges can learn via TMs. This move has a decent area of effect (AOE) as well, which is great in online matches against multiple users at once.
Florges has a lacking Defense stat and could be targeted with Physical attacks. The best choice would have been to use a move like Iron Defense or Reflect. Unfortunately, Florges does not learn these moves. So, this moveset will instead focus on healing the damage inflicted as much as possible.
Both Giga Drain and Draining Kiss serve to heal back some health for Florges. They are overshadowed by other better damage-dealing moves (like Energy Ball or Dazzling Gleam), but they are still more useful here due to their regenerative effects.
Lastly, Calm Mind will be a great setup move for Florges. Florges’ main stat is its Special Defense, followed by its Special Attack. Additionally, all the above-mentioned moves are Special Moves. So, using Calm Mind will simply boost the damage done from the above attacks.
Best Florges Nature in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Florges’ main weakness is its low Defense stat. Ergo, you should use a Nature Mint to change into the following Nature:
- Bold (+Def/-Atk)
Alternatives also include Modest (+SpA/-Atk), which will further increase your damage capability.
Best Item For Florges
You should definitely consider acquiring a Big Root for Florges. This move boosts the health regenerated from HP-draining moves (like Draining Kiss and Giga Drain). This item would power up half of your kit and help Florges survive for longer.
Wise Glasses is another option to consider, as it boosts the power of the wielder’s Special Moves. This Pokemon’s entire kit revolves around Special Attacks, making this item great.
Florges Stats and Location
