Scizor can be a great Pokemon to use in battle if you combine its Mega Evolution with the best moveset and nature in Legends Z-A.

The Bug/Steel-type Pokemon, Scizor, is a Generation Two Pokemon, which is available in Legends Z-A. You can use its Mega Evolution in battle to drastically improve its performance.
However, just stats alone will not be enough to carry most Pokemon. You will also have to carefully select its moveset and nature to use it proficiently.
Best Scizor Moveset in Pokemon Legends Z-A

- Lunge
- Iron Head
- U-Turn
- Curse/Swords Dance
Scizor has an extremely high Attack stat, so this moveset complements that strength. Usually, you might have used Bullet Punch if this were a traditional Pokemon game. However, Scizor does not have access to its ability, Technician, to make this move viable.
Instead, Iron Head will be a better move to use here. It has high power, decent cooldown, and gets Same Type Attack Boost (STAB) from Scizor’s typing. It will also be great for quickly targeting any Fairy Pokemon like Gardevoir or Sylveon.
Lunge will be the basic Bug-type move you use in battle. This will also drop the enemy’s Attack stat for a short while. This makes Lunge great for a first strike move. Afterwards, you can use U-Turn to land a hit and quickly return from the front line. This will let you avoid any retaliation from nearby opponents, while also recovering your cooldowns.
Lastly, we have the buff move. You can use either Curse or Swords Dance for this purpose. Swords Dance will raise your Attack stat only, with no drawbacks. On the other hand, Curse will raise your Attack and Defense while dropping your Speed.
You can make your choice between these two moves based on your preference.
Best Scizor Nature in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Your first choice should be to sacrifice Special Attack in favor of Attack. This will maximise your damage output while decreasing an already useless stat. So, use a Nature Mint to change your Nature into:
- Adamant (+Atk/-SpA)
- Careful (+SpD/-SpA)
Careful is another useful Nature. Scizor’s Special Defense is lower than its Defense. Moreover, it has a four times weakness to Fire type moves. So, having a high Defense and Special Defense is necessary to survive.
Scizor Stats and Location

You will need to receive a Scyther holding a Metal Coat via Trading. The best way to do so is to use a Trade Code if you do not have a friend who also plays the game. You can get a Scyther in Wild Zone 13 at night.
Scyther’s stats are:
- HP: 70
- Attack: 130
- Defense: 100
- Special Attack: 55
- Special Defense: 80
- Speed: 65
Mega Scizor’s stats are:
- HP: 70
- Attack: 150
- Defense: 140
- Special Attack: 65
- Special Defense: 100
- Speed: 75
That was the best moveset and nature for Scizor and Mega Scizor.
