Although you can catch the Kalos Region’s legendary Aura Trio in Pokemon Legends Z-A, the Mythical Diancie is currently missing from the foray. According to the full Pokedex of Legends Z-A, Diancie is available in the game. Mega Diancie is also present, which makes it one of the strongest Fairy-type additions. Diancie is already in Pokemon Legends Z-A, and you will be able to get it by completing Side Mission Ex 1 Shine Bright Like A Gemstone which is currently locked. As mentioned earlier, these details have been datamined by Sibuna_Switch. You will not be able to access this particular mission right now.
According to the details, a Mystery Gift event will take place at a latter date which will give you an item that will trigger the Diancie encounter in Pokemon Legends Z-A. In all likelihood, this item will be Diancite, the Mega Stone to evolve Diancie. Till a time you get your hands on this item, you will not be able to access this special side quest.
Since this is a Mystery Gift event, you will likely get the item for free without the need to purchase a Nintendo Online subscription. That said, you will need an active internet connection on your Nintendo Switch to claim the reward. Unlike Mewtwo which is a Legendary, Diancie will be allowed in the ranked matches in all likelihood. As such, you might benefit from making a proper build for the Mythical, for both PvP or PvE content.
