All the things you can do after the main story are:

The Infinite Z-A Royale

After the main story is complete and you have won the Z-A Royale, you will earn the wish that was promised to the winner. This wish will let you begin the Infinite Z-A Royale, letting the tournament continue indefinitely.

In the Infinite Z-A Royale, you must battle against continue to battle trainers until you earn a challenger’s ticket, just as before. However, this time, instead of a Promotion Match, you will fight in a Reward Match. With each Reward Match, you get to re-challenge your previous opponents while earning extra rewards. And there are further secrets awaiting you after enough Reward Matches.

Catch Xerneas and Yveltal

The Legendary Pokemon of Life and Death, respectively, reappear in Pokemon Legends Z-A. After you complete your first Reward Match, you can speak to L at the Hotel to learn about Xerneas and Yveltal. You can get further information from Mable, who tells you how you can track down the two Legendary Pokemon. This will take the form of the individual missions, The One That Gives and The One That Takes.

Once you have done everything Mable asks of you, you will be able to track down Xerneas and Yveltal. You can then battle and capture the immensely powerful Pokemon, significantly bolstering your roster.

Completing L’s Storyline

After the events of Pokemon X and Y, L is a changed man. He appears multiple times throughout the story alongside Zygarde to guide you. And once Lumiose is safe, it’s time to give L a new beginning.

After you have caught both Xerneas and Yveltal, you can meet with L at the Hotel to begin the final Main Mission. L will challenge you to a battle, and after you achieve victory, you must battle Zygarde itself. Both battles are the most difficult the game has to offer, so be prepared. Once you have defeated all of Zygarde’s formes, it will allow you to catch it. This will finish the last Main Mission and L’s story along with it.

EV and IV Training

If you want to battle competitively (or want to be as strong as possible), you’ll need to be prepared. The most important factor in this will be to ensure your Pokemon’s EVs and IVs are maxed. Fortunately, Legends Z-A has some features to make this easier.

Your Pokemon’s EVs can be reset at the Rust Syndicate’s reception for 5 Mega Shards. After this, you can raise your EVs in any number of ways. You can use Vitamins and Feathers, or EV Training Items, or simply battle specific wild Pokemon.

For IV’s you can use Bottle Caps at the Justice Dojo for Hyper Training. This lets you max out a number of your Pokemon’s IVs depending on the type of Bottle Caps used. Combined together, these methods will make your Pokemon worlds stronger than before.

Additional Exploration

Besides everything listed above, there are many other things for you to do in Legends Z-A. These include:

Completing the Pokedex

There are many Pokemon available for you to catch in Lumiose City. And Gotta Catch’em All is the motto of the Pokemon franchise. Completing the Pokedex is just another part of the experience in Pokemon Legends Z-A.

Colorful Screws

Colorful Screws are scattered all throughout Lumiose, and collecting these will get you some nifty rewards. You can trade a certain number of Colorful Screws to purchase and upgrade different Canari Plushies. These Plushies give you powerful passive bonus effects, so make sure to get them as soon as possible.

Mable’s Research
