The Duck is a tricky yet annoying monster to deal with in REPO, as it can turn into an Apex Predator and kill you if things go wrong.
The new 6-player co-op horror game REPO features various monsters, each with unique behaviors and abilities. Understanding these creatures is essential to surviving the horror in REPO and retrieving your valuable items without interruption. The yellow duck is one of the most unpredictable and deceiving monsters.
While it may appear adorable, it has a dark side that transforms it into its deadly version of Apex Predator. In this phase, it can completely deplete your health bar, making it one of the trickiest monsters to handle. How To Escape the Duck in REPO
The Duck often spawns in the early stages of Manor, Station, and Academy. It usually follows you like a small innocent duckling, that follows its mother. However, don’t get fooled by its cuteness. Picking it will transform into an Apex Predator, where its mouth expands, revealing gruesome teeth. The Apex Predator phase lasts for 10 seconds, after which the Duck returns to its usual cute innocent state.
The best way to deal with the Duck is to not pick it up. While it persistently follows you everywhere and stays in front of your cursor, just ignore it or try to move away from it. Never pick it up or attack it unless you want to witness its terrifying true form.
If the monster is triggered, get as far away as possible until it returns to its normal state. Also, remember that being attacked by another monster will trigger the Duck and cause it to transform into its Apex Predator phase.
How To Kill the Duck in REPO
If the Duck becomes too annoying, luckily, you can kill the monster in several ways. The first method involves luring the Duck into a cauldron, which can stun the monster. Now, pick up the little yellow monster and put it into the cauldron again to completely get rid of it.
Another effective way to kill the Duck is to lure it into the Extraction point. Since the Duck always stands in front of you, position yourself near the Extraction point. As it follows you, it will get destroyed during the extraction process. You can also use the Frying Pan or Baseball Bat to repeatedly hit the Duck. The quick successive hits prevent it from transforming into the Apex Predator, allowing you to destroy it before it becomes a threat.
