This guide explores how you can stun and then capture the Hognork in Revenge of the Savage Planet. It is one of the game’s hostile creatures.
You start in a pretty hostile environment of Stellaris Prime in Revenge of the Savage Planet. From alien plants that can kill you if you’re not careful to creatures with all sorts of powerful abilities, it seems as if the whole planet is out to get you. The game gives you the opportunity to outright slay the enemies you face. Or, you can capture them to perform useful research on the creatures. The more creatures of the same type you capture, the better it is for you in the long run.
However, in some cases, you will need to capture a creature to move the story along. For instance, you will get a mission to capture the Hognork when exploring Stellaris Prime. In this guide, we’ll explain just how you can go about capturing Hognork in Revenge of the Savage Planet.
Where To Find Hognork in Revenge of the Savage Planet?
A quest in the game will set a marker on your map where you’ll run into the Hognork. It is south of the regions that you explore in the initial parts of the game. The region where the Hognork exists is known as the Cliffs of Abaddoon. Since capturing Hognork is tied in to the main story progression, you won’t need to look for it separately, as the game will lead you to it.
Once you reach a path heading upward surrounded by purple mushrooms, you’ll know that Hognork is nearby. As soon as you climb to the top of the path, you’ll spot the creature swimming along in a shallow pond of water.

How To Capture Hognork in Revenge of the Savage Planet
Shooting the Hognork blindly won’t work. Instead, you need to target its weak spot, which is inside its mouth, right between the front two upper teeth. Follow the steps mentioned below to capture the creature safely.
- Step 1: Wait for the Hognork to charge or roar. In both of these instances, the creature opens its mouth momentarily.
- Step 2: As soon as the creature opens its mouth, shoot at its weak spot.
- Step 3: If you hit the right spot, Hognork will get stunned for a few seconds. Immediately lasso the enemy while it is in this stunned state.
- Step 4: Hold the lasso button to pull the Hognork toward you. Once it is close enough, you’ll successfully capture the creature.
Make sure you don’t get hit when the Hognork charges because it’ll hit you like a truck. You can stay out of reach of the enemy by climbing the ledge nearby. Fire at the Hognork’s weak spot from this safe space until the creature gets stunned. then, climb down immediately to proceed with the capturing process.
