While playing through Revenge of the Savage Planet, you’ll have to spend a lot of time inside the Habitat. It is essentially your base of operations in the game and where you wind up whenever you die. Since it acts as a house, you would probably want to decorate it as per your preference, and the game lets you do just that.

You can alter the decor, place new furniture or items, and customize the insides of the Habitat as you please. In this guide, we explain the Habitat customization in Revenge of the Savage Planet.

While the game lets you customize the Habitat, there are some restrictions that you must adhere to. Firstly, you can only customize the insides of the Habitat and not the external area. Secondly, even on the inside, you won’t be able to customize the entrance room, where all the important machinery is present. So, you won’t be able to move around the Computer or 3D Printer in this entrance bay. However, the rest of the area inside is completely available to you for customization.

After you enter this space, press the button to bring up the customization menu (press F by default). As soon as you do this, you’ll get detached from the third-person view of your character. You can move around the camera and zoom in freely. You can place any items on the ground or the first floor of the Habitat without any restrictions.

However, make sure the items you’re placing aren’t clipping through walls or other objects. Also, you won’t be able to place any items on the stairs connecting the two floors. This particular restriction will prevent players from blocking the stairs and access to the different floors.

Habitat customization in Revenge of the Savage Planet offers you great freedom. You can place as many items inside your Habitat as you wish, as long as there’s enough space for the said items. However, keep in mind that each item costs Alta Bucks (in-game currency) to purchase and place. So, it’s possible that you’ll run out of funds before you run out of space for items. You don’t have any unlimited source for Alta Bucks, making it even more challenging to keep customizing the space inside your Habitat.
