Rematch shook the gaming world when it first launched its beta phase over a month ago. Since then, it has left the fans craving more action. Sloclap officially announced the release date as 19th June, 2025. While the wait is still long, fans will also get an appetiser in the form of the second beta phase on the 28th May, 2025. But wait, there is more. In this article, we will be covering the collaboration between Rematch and Ronaldinho, among other football stars.
Ronaldinho Will Feature in Rematch Along With Other Stars
SloClap has officially made an announcement that Ronaldinho will be a part of the game. Not only his character, but his style, skills and aura will grace your screens in holy fashion. He has also been made the ambassador of Rematch.
The announcement video features Ronaldinho touring Sloclap’s studio and getting an insight into the making of the game. Ronaldinho is awestruck by the differences in technology compared to when he used to be motion-captured for games close to two decades ago.
Sloclap has been using references from some of his classic games to help inspire the move sets of his character and reproduce them. When it comes to Ronaldinho’s looks, they began by drawing out his face. Ronaldinho personally gave suggestions on the kind of look and style he liked best. He also had some play sessions along with the CEO and Co-Founder, Pierre Tarno, on the PS5 and proved how good he is both in and out of the field.
Alongside Ronaldinho, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, the goalkeeper for Barcelona FC, and Kobbie Mainoo, the midfielder for Manchester United FC, will be coming to Rematch as well. With so much to look forward to, the wait for the game gets more and more exciting.
