Hard Leather is one of the most important crafting resources in the game and is used to obtain some of the higher-tier gear. Naturally, this item’s importance is directly proportional to its scarcity in the game, meaning that it is incredibly difficult to obtain. There is a complex procedure you need to follow to get the item, which can be a hassle for a new player.

How To Craft Hard Leather in RuneScape Dragonwilds
As stated earlier, crafting Hard Leather in RuneScape Dragonwilds is a complex process and requires a bunch of items. You’ll need the following items to get started:
- Adhesive: You craft Adhesive using the Kiln, which in turn is crafted with 8x Ash Logs, 20x Stone, 6x Clay, and 10x Fire Runes.
- Tanner’s Kit: You unlock this using 6x Bronze Bar, 6x Coarse Thread, 6x Adhesive, and 18x Ash Plank. Unlocking the Tanner’s Kit grants you an extra slot in your Tannery. The Bronze Bar may be a little tricky to find, but thoroughly exploring the Fractured Plains should get you plenty.
- Animal Hide: Animal Hide, when run through the Tannery, gives leather.
Once you have the necessary items in place, head over to your Tannery and press the ‘E’ key to interact with it. This will bring up the Tannery menu. Place your Adhesive in the first slot and your Animal Hide in the other. The two items will combine and give you the Hard Leather.
