RuneScape Dragonwilds is not available on consoles at the moment but will be coming to the platforms down the line.

After years of waiting, we finally have more RuneScape in the form of the brand-new title, RuneScape Dragonwilds. RuneScape Dragonwilds is a four-player survival craft game that throws you into the vast continent of Ashenfall. The game just released in early access today and has made it to the top seller list on Steam, blowing up the Steam charts along the way.
Being over two decades old, RuneScape has established a loyal fanbase. Now, in 2025, this fanbase is likely to have split across various consoles and platforms. With Dragonwilds being the hot new RuneScape game, players on console may wish to jump in and experience the RuneScape magic once again. Unfortunately, RuneScape Dragonwilds is not available on consoles right now.
The game is not available on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. Currently, the game is only available in early access on Steam. PC players who prefer the Epic Games Store or GOG must also switch over to Steam if they wish to play the early access version.
While RuneScape Dragonwilds is not available on consoles at the moment, it’s not all doom and gloom. The developers of RuneScape Dragonwilds have confirmed that the game will be making its way to consoles “hopefully by winter 2026.”

Runescape Dragonwilds Will Come To Consoles in the Future

As stated earlier, RuneScape Dragonwilds is not available on consoles at the moment. The game is likely to be making its way to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in late 2026. In an interview with Gaming Interviews on YouTube, Jagex Senior Community Manager Mod Doom gave a potential release window for the 1.0 version of the game. Doom revealed that the devs intended to launch version 1.0 by 2026. He also stated that players would then be able to invite friends on consoles as well.
“Hopefully, by winter 2026, players will be able to get it fully launched, and you can get your friends in on console as well,” Doom said. While the wait may be over a year long, console players will get the full version of the game with a smoother experience and all bugs ironed out.
