How are Bag and Jar different in Schedule 1, and which one should you pick to efficiently make money in the game?

Schedule 1 gives you the choice to pack your substances in either a Bag or a Jar. You can surely use both of them interchangeably, but early on in the game, you tend to wonder which option suits better. It may seem confusing at first, but the decision is pretty easy to make. For that, however, you must understand the difference between each of these containers. Both items can be obtained at Dan’s Hardware.

Bag vs Jar: What Is the Difference in Schedule 1?

Both Bag and Jar look pretty different from each other. Apart from their appearance, they have two fundamental differences that set them apart from each other. Let’s look at these differences one by one.
A Bag, or Baggie (official in-game name), is available for $1 at Dan’s Hardware. It is a small, transparent pouch that players can use to pack a substance. Once you have reached the Street Rat 1 rank, this means of packaging will unlock for you. Although it is pretty cheap and reliable, it only holds one unit of each product. So, you can primarily use it for distributing a new substance as a sample to your NPC clients.
A Jar, on the other hand, costs $3 at the Hardware store. It also appears transparent, but it is bigger than a Baggie. Just like the Baggie, a Jar is also a reliable means of selling your product. But that’s the catch, it is better for “selling” rather than sampling. We say this because a Jar can contain up to five units of a product. So, if you want to carry more products in one go, a Jar is more useful.
Final Choice Between Bag and Jar

What’s the final verdict? Should Schedule 1 players go for a Bag or a Jar? The answer is simple: it all depends on your needs. So, once you have enough money, we suggest buying both. However, we will favor a Jar over a Baggie. The reason is the fact that Baggie is not “value for money” in most cases.
A Jar lets you sell five units at once for $3. However, if you only have Baggies, you will sell the same products at a cost of $5 due to packaging ($1 for packing each unit). So, if you sell lots of substances at once to your clients, we suggest you buy more Jars. Don’t undermine Baggies, though. You will still use these cheap and useful bags even later in the game.
