If you are running a massive operation in Schedule 1, you will need to hire employees. This will reduce the micromanagement and let you handle more tasks outside your business. With the right setup, you can even fully automate the process and only worry about selling your products to your loyal customers.

With that said, you first need to know the purpose of each employee in the game. This will allow you to decide how much you are willing to invest in them. Here is a guide on what you need to know about employees in Schedule 1.

Disclaimer: Schedule 1 is a parody video game centered around the drug trade. There is no actual information regarding illegal substances in real life.

Currently, you can hire four types of employees in Schedule 1. While you can always perform your drug operation alone, employees allow you to expand and produce more products.

EmployeeHiring FeeDaily PayResponsibilities
Cleaner$1,000$100 per dayCleans up a small area by picking up trash and clearing our bins.
Botanist$1,500$200 per dayManages crops by planting and harvesting them.
Handler$1,500$200 per dayCan pack your products and organize items between containers.
Chemist$2,000$300 per dayCan cook up meth or mix ingredients to make a substance.

Cleaners

The Cleaners are in charge of keeping your area clean. They automatically pick up trash on the ground and throw it in the assigned garbage bin. They are not very useful in the early game, as you have less trash to clean up. However, once you run a massive operation, trash will start piling up. This is when they are worth the pay you give them per day.

To assign a Cleaner, you just need to place bins inside your property and use your clipboard.

Botanist

Botanists manage your plants for you. They can plant and harvest your crops so you can focus on other tasks. You can assign one Botanist to up to eight crops. You will need a lot of them if you plan to run a massive operation.

As usual, you can use your clipboard to assign your employees to their designated pots. You will need to provide them with a steady supply of seeds, soil, and other necessities to keep them working. Without these, they will just idle, and you’ll be paying them for doing nothing.

Handler

Once you have enough products, you will need a Handler to help you pack them up. You can always do it solo, but it will take a lot of time. They are the backbone of your production line. However, they are not easy to manage.

Handlers have one of the most complicated mechanics. Each of them can handle up to five instructions. It’s up to you to figure out how to make them work with other employees.

Chemist

Chemists are in charge of mixing ingredients or cooking meth for you. Having these employees in Schedule 1 is a huge time saver, as making your products is one of the most time-consuming tasks in the game. You can assign a Chemist to up to four stations.

You can hire employees from Manny in the warehouse. Keep in mind that you can’t access this area in the morning. You can only enter the building from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM in-game time. Keep in mind that you also need to assign beds to them. It’s also where you can place money for their daily pay. This means you will be buying beds for each of your employees.
