In this guide, we’ll explore how you can get your hands on the baseball bat in Schedule 1. It’s the earliest weapon you can unlock.

Schedule 1 places you in the shoes of a small-time drug dealer. Needless to say, you’ll run into a lot of unpleasant people and situations while you are out and about peddling your products. While you can always use your fists on them, a better way to attack would be with a weapon. Unfortunately, accessing the weapons dealer might take some time.
For the initial portions of the game, we’d recommend arming yourself with the baseball bat. In this guide, we’ll tell you where you can find the baseball bat in Schedule 1 and how to use it.
How To Get a Baseball Bat in Schedule 1
The baseball bat is the only weapon that’s available to you from the get-go. All you need to do is head to the basketball court to find it. As soon as you start the game, you have to make your way to the motel. Head north of the motel and down a flight of stairs. You’ll find yourself facing a road, and on the other side of it will be the fenced basketball court. Look closely, and you’ll spot a baseball bat lying just near the fence. You can simply walk over and collect it. Keep in mind that the baseball bat will take up one slot in your inventory.
If you somehow don’t want a free baseball bat, you’ll also be able to purchase it later on from the weapons dealer, Stan. Even though it’s cheap, we’d still suggest making a quick trip to the basketball court to arm yourself from the very start of the game.

How To Use the Baseball Bat in Schedule 1
To use the baseball bat, you can use the mouse scroll to equip the item. Or, you can press the corresponding button of the hotbar where you’ve placed the bat. Left-click with the bat equipped to strike with it.
While the bat can help you attack NPCs, it has other uses too. For instance, you can smash a variety of items in the game with it. The ATM is a great example of this. If you swing the baseball bat at an ATM in the game, you’ll be able to grab some cash that the machine drops. However, make sure you aren’t spotted doing such illegal activities if you don’t want to get into trouble.
