The decision of saving Maleshov village in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is in your hands. Use this guide as a helping hand.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has many deciding factors that will test players’ morality. In the “Dancing with the Devil” quest, the Dry Devil tries to burn the entire Maleshov village to the ground. Dry Devil kills a villager, and from there, players have to decide whether to stop him from burning the village or be a part of it. We know this can be a confusing point for some players; therefore, we are here to help them in this situation.
In this guide, we will explore all the options and answer the question of whether you should save Maleshov in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 or not.
If You Agree To Burn Maleshov Village
If you choose the “Yes, the trap must be sprung” option, the village will face the wrath of Dry Devil. Maleshov will start burning down in an attempt to lure the soldiers out of the castle. Henry will try to save peasants and then eliminate the soldiers who come out of the castle. This action makes the castle much emptier, which helps in clearing the rest of the soldiers. However, after some time, Henry will encounter Istvan Toth in his dreams, saying that Henry is just like him.
If You Refuse To Burn Maleshov Village
You can select the “No, I won’t murder the innocent” option to refuse the proposal of burning down Maleshov. This action will start a single combat between Henry and Dry Devil. If Henry is defeated, the village will burn as before. But if Henry manages to defeat him, the village will be saved. However, this action makes the castle stage much harder because all of the soldiers remain in position, making stealth difficult. No named characters are eliminated with this method, and this mission ends with Henry convincing Von Bergow to leave the tower.
Should You Save Maleshov Village?
Yes, the village and villagers have nothing to do with the main objective of the mission. It does make the siege a lot easier, but at the expense of innocent villagers. The choice of not burning down the village makes the situation much harder; however, you can protect yourself from the attacks using your sword and skills.
