MrBeast applauds YouTube, saying the platform “doesn’t get enough credit” for sharing half of its ad revenue and supporting creators.
The biggest YouTuber in the world, Jimmy “MrBeast,” has praised the platform in his latest tweet. Jimmy stated that YouTube does not get enough credit for the fact that it shares 50% of its advertisement revenue with creators. The 26-year-old remarked that YouTube has created countless jobs through its platform. He also stated that the platform has allowed him to go from nothing to the life that he lives. The North Carolina native ended the tweet by shouting out to YouTube:
“I feel like YouTube doesn’t get enough credit for the fact that it shares HALF of ad revenue with its creators. They’ve created countless jobs thru this and it’s what allowed me to go from nothing to the life I live. Shout out to YouTube”
Jimmy currently has over 353M subscribers on YouTube with over 844 videos uploaded. He is the most-subscribed individual YouTuber on the platform. He recently released his game show Beast Games on Amazon Prime Video, which was a huge success. Despite the praise, several users have called out MrBeast for his statement. Controversial streamer Sneako commented on his tweet and stated that YouTube “destroys” free speech:
“Youtube also doesn’t get enough credit for destroying our right to free speech. Creators can only benefit from adsense if you read from their script.”
