Your fascination with golems may end as soon as you face the Talus guild boss in Throne and Liberty. The level-42 boss may not be the most difficult one you face in the game, but he can give your Guild nightmares if you don’t go prepared.

You can find Talus in The Raging Wilds region in the open world. However, if your Guild has reached level 15, you can access the boss from your Guild hall as well. The boss in question doesn’t move and is rather fixed in the center of the arena. This grants you the advantage of showering him with as many range attacks as you can. But, be wary of what Talus himself has got in store for you.

Attack Patterns and Moves to Notice When Facing Talus Guild Boss

Just like all the bosses in the game, Talus also switches between close and long-ranged attacks. However, his locomotive inability gives an advantage to you and your guild members.

Basic Attacks

If there are allies standing close to him, he will choose to attack them first with powerful punches and ground slam. Always have a Tank close to the boss to keep him busy while others unload ranged attacks on him from a safe distance. The moment there is no longer a Guild member standing close to him to keep him distracted, he can start with his AoE ranged attacks and Crowd Control. This won’t be good news for anyone.

Whenever he uses the ground slam, all the players in the inner circle of the arena will get thrown into the air. The most you can do is take the hits and rely on healers to do their jobs.

Devastating Spinning Attack

This is exactly how it sounds: devastating! The golem will spread his arms to embrace you and your friends for a spinning attack. Try to get in the center of the circle to avoid as much damage as possible. You can also run out of the arena, but this will result in a DPS. Look out for this attack whenever Talus says, “Expel magic!”

Shield Upgrade for Free

This final attack in Talus’s rulebook is high risk-high reward. He will activate three pillars on the circumference of the inner circle as soon as he says, “Damage restores”. Rush to any of the three lit-up pillars to keep yourself alive. If any player fails to do so, it will result in an instant kill. You can’t avoid this attack unless you stand on one of the designated circles. That will also generate a shield on you that will last quite some time before wearing off. Just make sure to stand in the said area with your whole body.

Throne and Liberty Will Reward You for Beating Talus Guild Boss

No boss comes without a completion prize. That’s one of the reasons why we disturb their peace in the first place, right? Talus can bless you with the following loot if you are lucky enough:

  • Talus’s Resonance Staff
  • Holy Warrior’s Sacred Armor
  • Ghost Wolf Alter Ego Mask
  • Wild Gold Bracers
  • Sharp Spiked Horn Bow
  • Deadly Single Edge Two-Handed Sword
  • Elite Resistance Magic Scepter
  • Elite Resistance Sword
  • Indomitable Strength Iron Gloves
  • Bloody Shadow Mask
  • Sprouting Talem

This wraps up the only guide you will ever need to face Talus in Throne and Liberty. A level 42 Guild boss may seem easy to some, but don’t forget to prepare yourself mentally and suit up in the best gear possible before charging into battle. May the MMO Gods be with you!
