The gaming industry has seen a massive rise in Twitch Streamers and 2025 has started with a huge success for a majority of them.
Twitch continues to remain the top destination for live-streamed video despite the rapidly expanding streaming industry, particularly in light of increased competition from YouTube and Kick. Streamers with millions of followers are at the top of the list, frequently drawing tens of thousands of viewers when they go live.
While some of these streamers are considerably more recent, others have been in the business for more than ten years. Here are the top five gaming Twitch streamers of January 2025.
1. Ninja (19.2 Million Followers)
With more than 19.2 million followers on his channel, Ninja is one of the most popular Twitch streamers. When he moved to Mixer, he broke off his exclusive relationship with Twitch, but he returned when the platform shut down.
Although Ninja may no longer be devoted to Fortnite, it was undoubtedly the game that helped him achieve unprecedented levels of Twitch fame. After playing a number of major titles, the former Halo player has regained his position as the most popular Twitch streamer.
2. Ibai (17.2 Million Followers)
Although Ibai Llanos, a Spanish streamer, is most known for casting League of Legends, he also streams a wide range of content. He began working as a content creator for G2 Esports in 2014, starting off with League of Legends videos. He later established his own company, KOI, with Gerard Piqué, a player for FC Barcelona, and has now become one of the most well-known Twitch streamers.
3. Auronplay (17.6 Million Followers)
Since 2020, Raul “AuronPlay” Alvarez Genes has been extremely popular. AuronPlay, a prominent GTA V livestreamer, has been a key contributor to the development of Among Us content since its release. However, in September 2021, he oddly received a Twitch ban, but it was lifted just 20 minutes later.
4. Kai Cenat (16 Million Followers)
Kai Cenat brought his YouTube following with him when he started streaming on Twitch in 2021. This ended up being a huge advantage for him. He became one of the most well-known figures on Twitch in just two years, and he has twice broken the record for the most subs at once, most recently with his new subathon, Mafiathon 2. Moreover, a number of his clips went viral when he did gaming marathons like Minecraft, Fortnite, and Elden Ring.
5. xQc (12 Million Followers)
Former Overwatch pro Félix “xQc” Lengyel is usually the streamer with the highest number of views. Even “Just Chatting,” where he streams a wide range of games, attracts up to 60,000 people, despite his preference for first-person shooter games. Although he lost the streak to Kai Cenat in 2023, he was the most-watched streamer in 2021 and 2022.
