Find out all the details about Found Weapons in Sniper Elite Resistance and why they might be the better choice in many scenarios.
For a game set in the 1940s, Sniper Elite Resistance has a significant number of weapons that you can choose from to fit in your loadout. You will not take a lot of time to beat this game, but there are some complexities that you need to take care of.
In particular, ammunition is often scarce, and you will have to source ammo as you complete missions. In case you do not find the right kind of ammunition to fit your guns, you might resort to picking up a weapon from an enemy you have taken down.
These “found weapons” form an integral part of the gameplay loop, and are often better than your default weapons. In this article, we will explain what found weapons are in Sniper Elite Resistance, and explore all details about them.
Sniper Elite Resistance: Found Weapons Explained
Any weapon that you find during a mission in Sniper Elite Resistance is called a Found Weapon. These are weapons that you can come across in stashes, or you can pick them up after killing or knocking out an enemy. When you use a found weapon, you will find a golden logo on the bottom right of your screen instead.
While found weapons are often very powerful, their biggest downside is that you cannot reload them. Essentially, found weapons in Sniper Elite Resistance are one-magazine-only guns. This applies to all forms of guns, including snipers, SMGs, and even pistols. Once you have exhausted the magazine of the found weapon, your character will automatically discard it.
Note that you do not swap found weapons with your loadout weapons. Normally, you can carry one sniper, one SMG (as secondary), and one pistol. When you pick up a found weapon, it becomes a fourth temporary weapon. Using your loadout weapons while holding a found weapon also automatically discards it.
Why Should You Use Found Weapons in Sniper Elite Resistance?
As mentioned earlier, found weapons are often better and more powerful than those in your loadout. You can also find “powerful” variants of some weapons like the Karabiner 98, which deals a lot of damage. These snipers also often have better zoom and attachments, making it a superior pick.
Since Sniper Elite Resistance rewards stealthy gameplay, you can find weapons with suppressors very frequently from enemies you have killed. During these times, using your found weapons can greatly increase your efficiency and overall score. Finally, found weapons are also a great source of ammo for your main loadout weapons. As such, using these or taking ammo from these weapons is advised in Sniper Elite Resistance.
