Tyler Oliveira was accused of lying and misrepresenting his “investigative” videos by fellow YouTuber Vince Vintage.

YouTuber Tyler Oliveira, who is most known for his investigation videos, is facing some challenging allegations made by fellow YouTuber Vince Vintage. Vintage uploaded a 49-minute-long YouTube video titled Exposing Tyler Oliveira…YouTube’s Biggest Liar, where he accused Oliveira of misrepresenting his YouTube videos. To be more precise, he alleged that Oliveira used clips from cities to portray places that were not associated with them.
For example, in Oliveira’s video titled Oakland: Where Every Crime Is Legal, the YouTuber was accused of using B-roll clips from different cities (including Miami and Pittsburgh) depicting violence. In another video, I Investigated The Murder Capital Of The World (a video filmed in Jamaica), Vintage highlighted that Oliveira tried painting his guide in a bad light, stating that he had deserted him. But in reality, as Vintage found out, there was a vlog uploaded by the guide that showed he was with Oliveira at all times. Reacting to this, Vintage said:
“You’re literally just making sh*t up to sell a narrative that this place is absolutely the most despicable thing you have ever seen. If he’s willing to lie about something so small to amplify the violence and the crime here, what else would Tyler lie about?”
He also accused Tyler Oliveira of promoting a so-called “KKK” memorabilia shop. This shop controversially included items such as “N*glet scalp,” “Minstrel show outfits,” and “KKK uniforms.” Speaking about it, he said:
“Do you think supporting a store like this might come off as racist? A store that literally sells N*glant repellent? I would say a little bit so.”
Vintage also criticized Oliveira for his video in Sweden, where Oliveira discussed immigration, particularly regarding Muslims. He accused Oliveira of promoting the slogan “Remove Kebab,” a propaganda phrase used by the Christchurch shooter. He said:
“So I don’t know if equating an entire ethnicity of people to a Kebab stand maybe comes of a little bit racist.”
What Did Tyler Oliveira Say About the Allegations?
Tyler Oliveira has already addressed the allegations made by Vince Vintage. In a post on X, he acknowledged that some of the B-roll clips were indeed inaccurate. However, he clarified that his small team is prone to occasional errors. He added:
“A handful of inaccurate b-roll shots don’t invalidate any of the conversations we have, the statistics we show, or the point of a given video: but it is 100% on us that these made it to the finished product.”
He concluded the post by expressing his gratitude for the constructive criticism from the community and stated that he hopes to improve his content. Oliveira wrote:
“This is all a work in progress, and we will continue to learn from our mistakes. Thank you to all of those who offer constructive feedback, and we will do our best to meet your expectations. I appreciate all of your support.”
My response to some valid criticism I’ve received (that finally isn’t just someone calling me Hitler):
