Depth Strider is a boot enchantment that allows you to negate the movement reduction faced in water. Moreover, the Depth Strider enchantment goes up to Level III. For each level, the movement speed reduction is decreased by approximately one-third. At Level III, the movement speed reduction is eliminated. In other words, there is no difference in speed when you walk on land or water.

Your speed underwater can also be increased by drinking a speed potion. In the Java Edition of Minecraft, Depth Strider is also affected by Dolphin’s Grace. Combining the effect with a speed potion and Riptide can allow you to travel hundreds of blocks underwater within seconds. This concludes our article on Depth Strider in Minecraft.
