The Arch-tempered Monster has been a great addition to Monster Hunter Wilds’ endgame. Supplementary to the Title Update monsters, the Arch-tempered variant of Apex monsters are some of the toughest challenges that the game has to offer. While these monsters aren’t technically as tough as Omega Planetes or 9 Star Gore Magala, they certainly come close.

With TU3 now live, we’re on track to get another new Arch-tempered Monster. And this time around, it’s Arch-tempered Nu Udra, the Black Flame. However, unlike past Arch-tempered Monsters, Nu Udra is going to be a substantially more challenging encounter. Unlike Arch-tempered Rey Dau and Uth Duna, Nu Udra is a 9 Star Event Quest.

Here’s everything you need to know about Arch-tempered Nu Udra, and when it’s coming to Monster Hunter Wilds.

Roadmap for Title Update 3 (Image via Capcom)

Arch-tempered Nu Udra is scheduled to arrive alongside the new Season of AccordDreamspell. The Season of Accord is scheduled to go live on October 23, 2025. Since the contents of Dreamspell and the Event Quests have been added to Monster Hunter Wilds with TU3, you won’t have to download an update. You simply need to log into the game to access them.

The Dreamspell event will come with new Hunter and Palico outfits, which will be tied to the Event Quests that go live alongside it. As for Arch-tempred Nu Udra, it will feature a new endgame armor set for the Hunter and Palico, i.e., a recolored variant of High Rank Nu Udra armor.

However, if the past Arch-tempered Monsters are anything to go by, the new Nu Udra armor set will feature significantly better skills and stats compared to the regular variant. Unfortunately, Arch-tempered Monsters don’t come with new weapons. However, the armor sets and skills more than make up for that.

Overview of Arch-tempered Nu Udra

The Arch-tempered Nu Udra Event Quest will be available to Hunters who have reached HR 100 and above. It’s an endgame quest, as such, you’re expected to be prepared with an optimized endgame loadout before heading out to hunt AT Nu Udra. Furthermore, since it’s a 9 Star Hunt, it’s best to tackle this monster with a team (either online co-op or Support Hunters).

That said, you can defeat AT Nu Udra solo as well. However, that will require a lot of practice and a perfectly optimized build and strategy. Arch-tempered Nu Udra will share the same weaknesses as the regular variant. However, since it’s an Arch-tempered Monster, you won’t be able to wound it easily.

We highly recommend using skills like Flayer, Partbreaker, and Weakness Exploit in your builds.
