You can’t skip steps, as you’ll have to collect specific materials in the right order and hand them to Karl near the Cosmetics shop. This guide breaks down everything you need to know about whistles.
How To Get All Whistles in Abyss Miner
Whistles in Abyss Miner determine your access to locations, tools, and shops. You earn them in order by collecting specific materials and giving them to Karl, the NPC standing outside the Cosmetics shop near the Sell area. You can’t skip ranks. Here’s exactly how to get each whistle and what it unlocks.
You must follow the sequence: Iron → Copper → Red → Blue → Moon. Here’s the full material list and where to find everything:
- Iron Whistle
- Requirements: 15x Iron Ore
- Location: Mine rocks on the Surface
- Copper Whistle
- Requirements: 7x Iron Ore, 7x Copper Ore
- Location:
- Iron Ore: Surface
- Copper Ore: Go left from spawn and descend to 70 meters. Look for a cave on the right and mine inside
- Red Whistle
- Requirements: 1x Tree Crystal, 5x Gold
- Location:
- Tree Crystal: Head to Green Haven, descend one level using ropes, and mine tree trunks
- Gold: Found in bushes and plants on the same level
- Blue Whistle
- Requirements: 2x Blue Feathers, 2x Zukker Eggs, 6x Ruby Shards
- Location:
- Blue Feathers: Go to King’s Garden in Layer 2. Wait for Sakata to spawn and defeat it
- Zukker Eggs: Go to Arcus Silva in Layer 2. Look for trees with blue lights and cobwebs. Defeat Zukker and mine its eggs
- Ruby Shards: Found near Rocky Falls. Follow any waterfall to find Ruby Trees and mine them
- Moon Whistle
- Requirements: 3x Blue Feathers, 3x Aqua Crystal Chunks, 1x Sun Share Relic
- Location:
- Blue Feathers: Defeat Sakata again; it can spawn randomly in Layer 2
- Aqua Crystal Chunks: From Ruby Trees, go to the right-side waterfall. Enter the small cave and mine Aqua Crystals
- Sun Share Relic: Rare drop from Zukker Eggs or mine yellow rocks on the Layer 2 surface

- Use elevator to Layer 1: $1000 to descend, $2000 to return
- Unlocks Mimi’s Shop: Heavy Pickaxe, Xplr. Pickaxe (Tier 1 and 2), 250Kg Backpack
- Red Whistle
- Unlocks Contraville’s Shop: Core Breaker, Drill Tier 1 and 2, 500Kg Backpack, Standard and Leather Gloves, Heavy Pickaxe Tier 2, Mxplr. Pickaxe, Fur Helmet
- Blue Whistle
- Use elevator to Layer 1 and Layer 2: $1000 (Layer 1), $5000 (Layer 2), $2000 to return to Surface
- Unlocks Dzack’s Shop: 1,000 Kg Backpack, Mxplr. Pickaxe Tier 2, Cragsplitter, Leather Boots, Xplr. Gloves
- Moon Whistle
- Unlocks the Spiral Drill of Abyss and the Black Steel Shovel
- Triggers the Old Man Quest, which rewards the Chasm Smasher
Make sure to mine extra whenever possible. Some materials will be needed again for later whistles. Prioritize defeating Sakata and Zukker quickly after they spawn, as their drops are essential and limited.
