Dian Jason Watkins, commonly referred to as Jamal, is IShowSpeed’s half-brother. Jamal was born on February 13, 2008, and is 16 years old as of this writing. Dian initially appeared on IShowSpeed’s channel. He’s known for his playful banter with his brother and his enthusiastic support for Lionel Messi, which often leads to friendly arguments with IShowSpeed, a Cristiano Ronaldo fan.

Jamal appeared on Speed’s YouTube channel in 2021, when the brothers played basketball together. Dian being a Messi fan often leads to banter between him and Speed, who is religiously obsessed with Ronaldo. Jamal also removed Cristiano Ronaldo from Darren’s FIFA player collection, which angered the latter. Later on, the 16-year-old has appeared on Speed’s stream for a haircut, shopping spree, IRL streams, and much more.

However, Jamal has stated that he wants to be a “regular kid” and that he wants to do things without a famous brother. Dian himself sometimes streams on YouTube, featuring him playing games and chatting with viewers on a laid-back note as opposed to his brother. Watkins has appeared on Adin Ross’ streams, 2xRaKai’s streams and others as well.

Jamal Opens Up About Bullying

Jamal has opened up about fame affecting his personal life at school and among friends. He stated that he often gets bullied for his appearance and IShowSpeed’s flashing incident.

Speed emotionally apologized to Jamal and said everything he does is for his little brother. As he stated,

“Really? I’m sorry, bro. Nah, real sh*t. Everything I do is for you, bro.”

Netizens showed empathy for Jamal and praised Speed for supporting his little brother. There were also a bunch of comments on how Speed affects his brother’s personal life negatively. Jamal continues to appear on Speed’s streams; his most recent appearance was on Kai and Speed’s Minecraft Hardcore marathon stream, where Kai and Speed gave a shout-out to the 16-year-old’s YouTube channel on stream.

Dian Watkins’ Thoughts on Fame

Jamal has stated that his schoolmates often call him Speed’s brother, which “ticks him off.” He wants to be a regular kid without a famous brother. He stated,

“I wanna do my own stuff, I don’t wanna have my brother be the main center of attention like every time I go to school. They bring up Speed and you know, yadda yadda yadda, it ticks me off.”

The 16-year-old also claimed he would appear less on Speed’s streams and wants to cut off contact with everybody there. However, Speed only continues to grow in the streaming world, making waves worldwide.
