Pirate Software claimed that Maldavius Figtree is a character that he built and that it is his “cool old object head character.”
In his most recent YouTube video, Twitch star and YouTuber Pirate Software addressed a number of controversies. His in-game persona, Maldavius Figtree, was one of the topics he discussed. Additionally, the streamer stated that his gaming persona, Maldavius Figtree, has “never been a secret” and that others were attempting to use it against him.
He discussed it in a 25-minute video titled “Anything For Content.” The streamer said:
“Number one – Maldavius Figtree. This is the character that everyone is talking about. You’ll actually see this posted all over the internet with people trying to use it as some kind of a gotcha against me. Except, this character has never been secret. I talk about it all the time on stream, and I usually refer to Second Life, which is where this character resides as an adult version of Roblox.”
He claimed that Maldavius Figtree appeared in both Second Life and the sample he made for his game, Kill The Moon. Moreover, he stated that he had fun creating the character and uses it everywhere.
“This character isn’t just used in Second Life either. In fact, I’ve used it in other games. Kill The Moon is a demo that I never ended up releasing because it kind of sucks. It was fun to build, something kind of a side thing, took us maybe two months to do, and it was a good exercise. Kind of like doing a game jam. But there’s the character. I use him everywhere because it’s my cool old object head character and I like that kind of a thing.”
Who is Pirate Software?
Jason Thor Hall is the CEO of Pirate Software, a game development company. He is frequently referred to as Thor or Pirate Software. He began his career as an offensive security specialist at Blizzard Entertainment before moving on to Amazon Games as a Python developer. Pirate was a hacker for the US government in addition to working for Amazon Games.
Moreover, his success on Twitch is based on his background in the gaming industry. Thor began working on a game called Heartbound, which attracted the interest of some well-known YouTube creators and thus brought Pirate a lot of fame and financial gain.
His channel gained over a million subscribers in a short period as a result of this newfound exposure. Pirate Software is a huge creator that won two Streamer Awards in 2024 and broke Twitch’s Hype Train record four times.
