ZeRo, whose real name is Gonzalo Barrios is a former Super Smash Bros professional. He was recently unbanned on Twitch after five years.

Gonzalo Barrios, better known as ZeRo, is a former Super Smash Bros. Ultimate pro player who recently went viral after Twitch lifted his ban. The streaming platform suspended ZeRo in July 2020 following allegations of sexual misconduct involving minors. He admitted to sending inappropriate messages to a minor after the allegations went live. However, he later stated that the allegations were false. Twitch has now unbanned ZeRo after five years. The community, however, was enraged by the streaming platform’s decision.

ZeRo has over 502K followers on Twitch as of this writing. Barrios has continued to upload content on YouTube, where he boasts a following of 819K subscribers. On X, where he is active, the streamer boasts a following of 119.7K followers. The streamer holds the world record for 56 consecutive wins in Smash tournaments. He announced his retirement from the Smash Bros competitive scene in 2020.
Professional esports organization Tempo Storm, which ZeRo was a part of, cut ties with ZeRo soon after his Twitch suspension. Moreover, Barrios took legal action against Jacqueline “Jisu,” accusing her of defamation. The case was eventually settled in 2022, with Jisu retracting all her previous statements. The streamer returned to content creation on YouTube and made a video titled ‘THE LAWSUIT IS OVER.’ In the video, ZeRo stated that the situation had reached a conclusion.

While the streamer gained popularity for his Smash Bros career, he has shifted his content to bodybuilding. Barrios lost a significant amount of weight and has expressed interest in competing in professional bodybuilding. While the streamer did not mention when he aims to return to streaming, viewers can expect gym “grind” sessions soon. Gonzalo uploaded his images with professional bodybuilders Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler. Reportedly, Gonzalo lost over 212 pounds of weight during his transformation.
