Mushrooms are one of the flora in Wanderstop that are helpful yet easy to find. Despite their abundance, though, people don’t really know the purpose they serve in the game. If you are one of the players who are confused about how they work in the game, we are here to help you acquire some tips. Before we get into the work these Mushrooms can do, let’s learn the types and how to obtain them.

The clearing is where you’ll be spending most of your time in the game. Here’s where you will find the Mushrooms (or Shrooms). Randomly walk to the edges of the clearing and look on the ground. Refer to the image above, and you will spot the Mushrooms lying in wait for the player to pick up. Simply use the prompted button to pick them up. The good part about this is that they are replenishable. So, you will never run out of them because when you pick one, another will grow somewhere nearby.

When you are going on a Shroom hunt in Wanderstop, there are four types of these fungi that you must look out for. These are as follows:

  • Dupe Shroom: Creates three copies of a Large Hybrid. Water them for additional fruits.
  • Shrink Shroom: Shrinks Large Hybrid plants, allowing you to put them in a pot.
  • Hue Shroom: Changes the color of a Hybrid Plant and its fruits.
  • Gift Shroom: Allows Large Hybrids to produce trinkets instead of fruit when watered.

All of these types of Shrooms can be found out in the wild when you go looking for them. Since they are spawned at random, you can’t look out for specific locations, unfortunately.

Using Mushrooms in Wanderstop is pretty easy. They work great on Large Hybrids, allowing you to customize them for your own use. As we mentioned above, there are four types of Shrooms that serve different purposes. If you want to reap their benefits, simply place them in a specific pattern around your Large Hybrids. What pattern, you ask? Use the same pattern that you used to grow the Hybrid that you now wish to customize.
