The Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang is one of the toughest early-game bosses in Wuchang Fallen Feathers. While the boss doesn’t have too many complicated attacks, the sheer damage he can deal and his ability to inflict Corruption make it quite a challenge. However, the Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang is also one of the easiest bosses to defeat in Wuchang if you know how to exploit his weaknesses, and most importantly, use backstabs and charged heavy attacks to your advantage.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang in Wuchang Fallen Feathers, and how to easily defeat the boss.

The Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang is the mandatory boss of the Shu Sanctuary. After you defeat Master Raider – Man-eating Dhutanga, you will eventually make your way to the Shu Sanctuary. After the Reverent Temple, the Shu Sanctuary serves as your central hub. However, before you can interact with the NPCs here, you will need to defeat the source of Corruption bound to the Shu Sanctuary: the Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang. Unlike the Master Raider, Lu Bingzhang only has a single phase.

Despite that, the boss is significantly more challenging than anything you’ve faced up to this point. Two major aspects of this boss fight make it difficult: limited maneuverable space and the boss’s ability to inflict Corruption. Unlike other elemental debuffs, Corruption lasts for a long time and drains HP over time. Furthermore, the Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang also has access to multiple AOE combos.

Thankfully, since the boss is technically a humanoid (albeit afflicted by Feathering), you can defeat him more easily by exploiting backstabs.

Here are some tips that should help you easily defeat the Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang:

  • The Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang always starts the battle with a 3-hit combo that ends with a slam attack. As such, you don’t want to rush the boss as soon as the battle starts. Instead, let him finish his combo and then dish out your attacks.
  • To get a few easy hits in before the boss starts his combos again, try to kite behind the Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang and attack with a charged heavy combo.
  • A single charged attack should be enough to break the boss’s posture, allowing you to follow up with a critical strike. Furthermore, you can take advantage of the downtime to sneak in a few more hits.
  • If you’re having too much trouble, you can summon Nian Suichiang to aid you. Additionally, make sure to carry Purple Camellia to nullify Corruption. You can also use the Echo of Dhutanga Spell (obtained by defeating the Master Raider) to help defeat the Feathered Priest more easily.
