Everything you need to know about Red Mercury in Wuchang Fallen Feathers, including the best farming location in the early game.

Red Mercury is easily the most important resource in Wuchang Fallen Feathers. Similar to Runes in Elden Ring or Souls in Dark Souls, Red Mercury serves as the quintessential currency and XP in Wuchang. It’s also the primary resource that dictates the character progression, separate from the main story itself. Similar to other RPGs, you want to accumulate as much Red Mercury (XP) as possible. Doing so might grant you an easier time against enemies and, most importantly, bosses. However, unlike in Elden Ring, where you can easily farm Runes by completing optional dungeons, there’s no such system in Wuchang.
Unlike Elden Ring, Wuchang Fallen Feathers is rather linear. So, there are very few ways to accumulate Red Mercury outside of boss fights. Thankfully, there are still a few areas where you can easily farm Red Mercury in Wuchang. Here’s everything you need to know about the best early-game Red Mercury farming locations in Wuchang Fallen Feathers.
How To Farm Red Mercury in Wuchang Fallen Feathers?

The easiest way to get a ton of Red Mercury is, well, to have pre-ordered the game. If you pre-ordered Wuchang Fallen Feathers, you can claim two DLC items – Full-Grown Red Mercury and Glistening Red Mercury. Both of these items combined give you a total of roughly 14000 Red Mercury, which is enough to boost you from Level 1 to Level 14 in a single go. If you have pre-ordered the game, you can grab these Red Mercury items from the Donations Box in the Reverent Temple, right at the start of the story.
Apart from the pre-order bonuses, there are two locations in the early parts of Wuchang where you can farm a lot of Red Mercury quite easily. The first location is the Shu Sanctuary, and the path leading up to Lu Hongliu. This location has a ton of enemies, including some giants, which are quite easy to kill and offer a lot of Red Mercury. The second path is close to the Palace Hills, which isn’t as densely populated with enemies as Shu Sanctuary, but is still a great location to farm XP.
Additionally, make sure to use the Red Mercury clusters that you can randomly obtain from defeating enemies and mini-bosses. These clusters are also a great source of Red Mercury. Lastly, you can also sell unused or duplicate items from your inventory to the merchants at Shu Sanctuary to get some extra Red Mercury.
How To Use Red Mercury in Wuchang Fallen Feathers?
Red Mercury works similarly to Souls or Runes, and can be used to both level up and purchase items from merchants. You can use Red Mercury at any of the Shrines to level up via the Impetus Repository. Additionally, you can use Red Mercury to purchase consumables, outfits, weapons, and even Jade Pendants from merchants.
