Wuchang Fallen Feathers, much like any other souls-like RPG out there, features a huge array of unlockable outfits. Most of these outfits are unlocked as part of the main story progression or can be purchased from the NPC merchants at various points in the game’s story. However, some outfits can be obtained simply while exploring the game’s world or, surprisingly enough, by completing NPC quests.
Additionally, the outfits in Wuchang also serve as the primary means of defense and elemental resistances. The Pirate set, an early-game armor, provides strong defensive attributes. Here’s everything you need to know about the Pirate set in Wuchang Fallen Feathers and where to find it.
How To Obtain the Pirate Armor Set in Wuchang Fallen Feathers
The Pirate set is obtained automatically after you defeat Blightweaver – Great Centipede in Bandit Mines. After defeating the boss, you need to make your way to the Doomwillow Beach. On the way to the Doomwillow Beach, you will meet a key NPC. If you talk to the NPC, he will offer you 3 Purple Camellias and the Pirate set. Furthermore, while the interaction with the NPC is missable, the armor set is not. If you missed talking to the NPC and getting the armor set from him, you can buy the Pirate set from the NPC merchant at the Shu Sanctuary.
The Pirate set is essentially a better version of the starting armor set. It doesn’t excel at any specific elemental resistance but offers decent physical defense against all damage types. The armor set also has a good defense against Slash damage, which comes in handy against some of the bosses you will face later in the same chapter.
Is the Pirate Armor Set Worth Using?
For an early-game armor, yes, the Pirate set is totally worth using, at least until you unlock the Centipede set. This set performs well for most boss fights in the game, especially if you don’t have the Deluxe Edition armor sets. However, if you have the Deluxe Edition of the game, you will find better alternatives available to you, like the Soul Ritual set. Furthermore, the Soul Ritual set has roughly the same stats as the Pirate set but better Corruption resistance, making it more viable than the former.
