Survival in a souls-like game is always tough, and the mob enemies often pose more of a threat than some bosses. To no one’s surprise, Wuchang Fallen Feathers features a similar mechanic. You will often have to navigate tough areas with loads of mobs before reaching your next Shrine to save the game. With limited resources, staying alive is tough, and you will end up dying quite a few times. As such, you might wonder what happens when you die in Wuchang Fallen Feathers.
What happens after you die in Wuchang Fallen Feathers depends on your Madness level. Based on this counter, various things can happen, including a tough mini-boss’ appearance as well. In this article, we will explain what death entails in this game.
What Happens When You Die in Wuchang Fallen Feathers?
You lose Red Mercury and your Madness increases when you die in Wuchang Fallen Feathers. The amount that you will lose and the appearance of your Inner Demon depend on your Madness level. There are three cases to be specific, and here is what happens:
- Die at less than 50% Madness: You lose some Red Mercury. Madness increases.
- Die at more than 50% but less than 90% Madness: You lose a significant portion of your Red Mercury. Madness increases yet again.
- Die at more than 90% Madness: You lose all your Red Mercury, and Inner Demon spawns at the point where you fell.
As is evident, your Madness level plays a crucial part when you die in Wuchang Fallen Feathers. Up until 50% Madness, you will only lose a fraction of your Red Mercury. When you visit the spot where you died, you will also be able to reclaim some part of the lost Red Mercury.
When your Madness crosses 50%, you lose out on a major chunk of your Red Mercury when you die. You can still reclaim some of these upon visiting the spot where you fell and claiming it.
If you die at more than 90% Madness in Wuchang Fallen Feathers, you lose out on all the Red Mercury that you carried. This is not the only penalty, as your Inner Demon will spawn at the point of your death. This enemy is extremely aggressive and can easily kill you once again with just three or four hits.
Your Inner Demon will always chase and attack you at sight. Dying to the Inner Demon or killing it will also completely reset your Madness level.
