Xbox Game Pass Wave 1 in August 2025 brings many new titles to the already big library of the service. Here are all of them.
It is that time of the month again, and Microsoft has officially announced its first wave lineup for the Xbox Game Pass for August 2025 through the traditional method, an Xbox Wire post. This time around, we have seen the addition of nine new titles, including one returning game and a preview.
While the latter is for PC gamers only, the former title is available across the various Game Pass tiers and platforms. Other than that, there are also big names in the list. So, let’s take a comprehensive look at every single game featured in the wave one lineup for August and also the titles that will be leaving the subscription service this month.
Every Game in Xbox Game Pass Wave 1 (August 2025)
Avid Game Pass users would know that Microsoft usually releases the list of the first lineup of upcoming games on the first Tuesday of the associated month. Following the familiar structure, Xbox revealed all the titles featured in Wave 1 of August 2025 on August 6. This time around, nine titles are coming to the Game Pass if you count the preview, instead of the seven titles we saw in July.
The latest titles feature many fan favorites such as Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Rain World, and more. In addition to that, the much-awaited Farming Simulator 25 has also been added to the Game Pass library, even though it was technically a part of the July second wave announcement.

Games That are Leaving Game Pass on August 15
To maintain Game Pass’s massive library and keep it fresh, Microsoft adds new games every month and removes some titles as well. This practice occurs across nearly every other subscription service in multiple media and is not exclusive to Xbox. Alongside the announcement of the Wave 1 lineup for this month, Microsoft also revealed the titles that will be leaving by the end of the 15th of August. The following list contains further details.
