In Baldur’s Gate 3, the Sword of Clutching Umbra grants you a special weapon ability that allows you to attack from stealth and remain hidden. The Shadowsoaked Blow allows you to strike an enemy and add your proficiency bonus to the damage. Additionally, a successful attack will also deal an extra 1-6 points of Psychic damage.

How to Get Sword of Clutching Umbra in Baldur’s Gate 3
To get the Sword of Clutching Umbra, you must visit Dammon at the Last Light Inn during Act 2 of Baldur’s Gate 3. Likely you will remember meeting Dammon at the Druid’s Grove in Act 1. He is one of the many Tieflings who were seeking refuge there from the threatening goblins.
However, Dammon will only be available as a trader in Act 2 if you defeated the goblins and goblin leaders in Act 1 to protect the Grove. If you let the goblin leaders live, or if for any reason you provoked a fight with the Druids in the Grove, then the Tieflings will die and Dammon with them.
Therefore, if Dammon is alive you will find him at the Last Light Inn. The Inn is located in the northern portion of the Shadow Cursed Lands and you’ll have to convince a guarded Jaheira you can be trusted before entering. Inside, Dammon will have set up a forge in the stables and you buy the Sword of Clutching Umbra from him there.
