Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the open-world action RPG by Warhorse Studios, has recently arrived. While the story begins in Trosky, you will eventually pass through the region and reach Kuttenberg as the narrative progresses.

Following the flow of the main story may cause you to rush the missions in Trosky and take you to Kuttenberg while leaving multiple areas and opportunities unexplored in the former region. If you ever feel like returning to Trosky to complete unfinished business, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 allows you to switch regions, and here is how it works.

Although you can switch regions in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, it is not as simple as fast traveling. Instead, you need to reach a specific location and find a specific NPC at the caravan. Once you finish the quest ‘Speak of the Devil,’ you will be free for a while to explore the larger areas of Kuttenburg.

To travel from Kuttenberg to Trosky:

  • Get to Suchdol Castle using fast travel.
  • You will find the caravan when heading to the west of the settlement.
  • Find the NPC named Coachman, wearing dark green clothing and a red beanie.
  • Interact with the Coachman to travel back to Trosky.

To head back to Kuttenberg from Trosky:

  • Find the caravan in the Trosky region, which can be located northwest of the Nebakov Fortress.
  • Speak to the Coachman there to get back to Kuttenberg.

Caravans are marked by a red wagon icon on the map.

Is Switching Regions in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Free?

While Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 allows you to switch the regions at will, it is not free of cost. You need to pay 200 Groschen for Coachman every time, to take you on a trip from Kuttenberg to Trosky or vice versa. This means a round trip—starting from Kuttenberg, traveling to Trosky, and returning—will cost a total of 400 Groschen.

Moreover, unlike any other purchase in the game, you cannot haggle the price of traveling between regions. So, make your journey worthwhile by exploring every area and completing unfinished quests before heading back.
