The premise and your objective in Blue Prince is simple—find the mysterious Room 46, and the Mt Holly Estate is yours to inherit. This seems easy till you realize the rooms in this mansion shift every day like something out of Hogwarts. Your path to Room 46 is, therefore, riddled with tons of rooms. Thankfully, these rooms all serve a purpose and aid you in getting closer to Room 46.

Moreover, the rooms grant you buffs and perks that improve your odds of reaching Room 46. These buffs and perks work much like the boons in Roguelikes, elongating your runs or making subsequent runs easier. There are many rooms to pick from, and we’re here to help pick out the best. In this article, we shall discuss the five best rooms to pick in Blue Prince.

The best rooms in Blue Prince are the ones that make your overall search for Room 46 easier. No room is a better embodiment of this than the Workshop. The Workshop is a special room that allows you to craft items. The items you craft include Burning Glass, Electromagnet, Lucky Purse, Detector Shovel, and many more. The items you craft in the Workshop allow you to solve puzzles, increase rewards, or help access previously inaccessible areas. If you wish to have a smooth journey, you need to draft this one.

2) Solarium

The Solarium is a special Green room in the game. Green rooms are rooms that grant buffs and special rewards. The Solarium is a room that increases your odds of obtaining Unusual or Rare rooms during drafting. While the Solarium is a dead end, the perk it provides more than makes up for it, and leads you to some of the rarer sections in the game. This is one room you must have in your run.

3) Courtyard

Much like the Solarium, the Courtyard, too, is a Green room. This Green room grants you access to three separate rooms, making it the perfect room to draft when in a pickle. Accessing the Courtyard also costs just a single gem, making it a low-risk-high-reward room. If you upgrade this room further, it adds 5 dig spots to itself and +2 Gems to the room, further increasing its value.

4) Vault

The Vault is a Rare-tier room that grants you 40 Gold each time you enter it. While it may cost you 3 Gems, and the room itself is a dead end, it is the perfect place to stock up on money. The room also has a chance of spawning a Keycard, which you can then use to unlock electronic doors around the estate. For what it costs, the Vault gives you far more in return. You can’t go wrong with this one.

5) Shelter

Blue Prince has a ton of rooms, but the ones you’d wish to avoid are the red rooms. The red rooms apply debuffs that can severely impact your run. Since the game is a roguelike, you’re often left to chance and can never predict when you’ll have to visit a red room next. The Shelter is a room that alleviates this pressure off your shoulders. The Unusual room negates the effects of the next three Red rooms you visit, making your journey much safer overall.
