How To Get Dew Reaper in Dune Awakening

Collecting water is vital to survive the scorching heat of Arrakis. While Dune Awakening offers various ways to collect water and stay hydrated, dew plants serve as the primary source of water, especially during the early stages. You can drink water directly from the dew plants to resist the heat, but there is a more efficient method. You can actually store water from dew using a special tool called the Dew Reaper, allowing you to hydrate yourself on the go.

The tool makes your water farming easier and more reliable. Here is how you can obtain the Dew Reaper and use it to harvest water in Dune Awakening.

How To Dew Reaper in Dune Awakening

To get a Dew Reaper, you must first research its schematic from the Research tab. You can find the Dew Reaper Mk2 schematic under Iron Products in the Water Discipline category. Once you unlock the schematic, interact with a General Fabricator or a Survival Fabricator to craft a Dew Reaper Mk2. You will need the following materials:

10x Iron lngot
7x EMF Generator
4x Silicone Block

You can also research and craft the advanced versions, like Dew Reaper Mk4 and Dew Reaper Mk6, as you progress. However, they require more valuable materials like Aluminum and Plastanium, respectively. Additionally, Dew Reapers can sometimes be found on enemy bodies or inside loot chests.

How To Use Dew Reaper in Dune Awakening

While Windtraps are great for passively collecting a large quantity of water, dew plants provide a fast and reliable method, especially at the early stages. However, you need a storage container like Literjon to store the harvested water. The best time to harvest dew plants is at dawn. Equip the Dew Reaper and approach a cluster of dew plants. Use the tool and walk over the flowerbed to harvest water from them. This action also depletes power.

While harvesting, you will receive notifications such as how much water you have collected and whether it is the optimal time to gather. Once the Literjon is filled with water, you can either deposit it into the Water Cistern or save it for your travel ahead.
