Restoration is an essential magic school in Oblivion Remastered, focused on healing, buffing, and support-based gameplay. Its spells can also absorb attributes and skills, and increase resistance against various types of damage. Restoration has lost some importance since the original game, since the player can regenerate health out of combat without using any spells or potions in the remaster. However, its spells are still vital to keep the healer and their allies alive in the heat of battle.

Leveling up Restoration not only reduces the Magicka cost of healing spells but also unlocks higher-tier magic like Greater Fortify Health and Superior Convalescence. Like other skills in the game, Restoration can be leveled more efficiently by seeking out trainers throughout Cyrodiil.

Master Restoration Training

To receive master-level Restoration training from Oleta, you must reach level 70 in Restoration and complete the ‘Restoration Training’ quest. Speak to either Marz or Ohtesse and ask them about master training. They will direct you to Oleta. This begins ‘Restoration Training,’ and Oleta will train you if ‘Breaking the Siege of Kvatch’ is completed.

How To Improve Restoration in Oblivion Remastered

Leveled up Restoration effectively by frequently using low-cost spells like Minor Heal or Restore Fatigue. You can cast these repeatedly outside combat for passive experience gain, making Restoration one of the easiest schools to train with persistence. Purchase additional Restoration spells from chapel healers and Mages Guild spell vendors.

  • Skill Books: Find Restoration skill books throughout Cyrodiil and read them to level up.
  • Quests: The Dagon Shrine quest rewards +1 Restoration upon completion, and Hermaeus Mora adds +10 to Restoration if you choose the Oghma Infinium’s Path of Spirits.
  • Enchanted Items: Enhancing armor and accessories with Fortify Restoration enchantments, either with a Sigil Stone or an Altar of Enchanting, boosts the Restoration skill.
  • Fortify Restoration: You can make a custom Fortify Restoration spell to further reduce the Magicka cost of using Restoration magic.
