Mt. Holly features a wide variety of rooms, categorized into different types based on their color and functionality. Moreover, some rooms are even classified based on their availability. Some are hidden and cannot be drafted immediately, such rooms are called Found Floorplans. The Mechanarium Floorplan is one of the Found Floorplans, which must be discovered before it can be drafted into the layout.
It is a special mechanical-type room, and its effectiveness relies on the availability of other mechanical rooms in the estate. Find out how to obtain the Mechanarium floor plan and use the room effectively in Blue Prince.

Where To Find the Mechanarium Floorplan in Blue Prince
You can find the Mechanarium floor plan in the Underground Reservoir region. However, you will need the Basement Key to access the Underground area. While exploring the Reservoir area, you will find the giant gear puzzle.
Rotating the gear and solving the puzzle leads you to a nook with a map of the Underground placed on the table. Additionally, you will find the floor plan of the Mechanarium. Interact with the floor plan and choose ‘Yes’ to permanently add it to your draft pool.
What Does the Mechanarium Room Do in Blue Prince?
The Mechanarium is a special gear-type room that relies on the other mechanical-type rooms to perform effectively. The Mechanarium can have up to 8 doors based on the number of gear-type rooms in your layout. The Security, Utility Closet, Workshop, Laboratory, Pump Room, and Boiler Room are categorized as gear-type rooms.
Additionally, the Aquarium with the electric eel upgrade counts as a gear-type room too. Drafting the Mechanarium after placing seven gear-type rooms in your layout rewards players with a Sanctum Key behind one of its doors.
