In this guide, we shall go over how to find the Throne Room floor plan and unlock the Throne Room in Blue Prince.
Blue Prince starts off with a simple premise – find Room 46, and Mt. Holly Estate is yours to inherit. The task seems simple, but the reality soon dawns that this manor is more than meets the eye. The manor shifts at every turn, and there are a lot more rooms than the numbered 46 you initially thought. The Throne Room is one such special room you find in the game towards the end.
Much like other late-game areas, the Throne Room is fairly difficult to unlock. You have to follow certain procedures, meet a few requirements, obtain some permanent additions, and then draft the room with the floor plan. This seems difficult on paper but is fairly simple to do with a little help. In this guide, we shall go over how to unlock the Throne Room in Blue Prince.

You unlock the Throne Room in Blue Prince by finding the Throne Room floor plan. This floor plan is behind a door in Blackbridge Grotto. Therefore, you first need to unlock the Blackbridge Grotto, and then unlock the door.
To unlock the Blackbridge Grotto, you need to power up the Laboratory and solve the puzzle in the lab. Follow the steps below to do so:
- Draft the Boiler Room and turn on all the steam tanks. Align the tubes to power the main generator, and then divert the power to the Laboratory.
- Head to the lab and go to the Switch Board. You can find the Switch Board code by solving the periodic table puzzle. If you wish to dive into the puzzle in detail, check out our guide for the same. If not, press the switches 9 and 3 to unlock Blackbridge Grotto.
Once you’ve unlocked Blackbridge Grotto, you then have to find the three Microchips.
- The first Microchip is on a pedestal after the periodic table puzzle.
- The second Microchip is in a vase in the Entrance Hall.
- The third and final Microchip is buried by the bridge on the West Gate path.
Place the second and third Microchips in the pedestal in Blockbridge Grotto to unlock the door and find the Throne Room floor plan. You can then use this floor plan to draft the Throne Room for 5x Gems.
