Blood has forever been the ‘it factor’ of professional wrestling. Seeing a wrestler have streams of red, trickling down their head, would have the audience burst with cheers. Similarly, you can draw blood in WWE 2K25 and make the match more interesting. In previous games, it was restricted to only the male wrestlers. However, with WWE 2K25, female wrestlers can also draw blood. However, this is only applicable in women’s matches, and not in intergender fights.

Blood helps imply that a wrestler has taken a significant amount of damage. This helps make their loss seem genuine, and their victory shows that they have grit and persistence. Many wrestlers have made their careers by creating situations of excessive bleeding. The more the crowd enjoys you selling your injury, the more they root for you.

While the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras heavily encouraged blood and blading, the PG era saw a lot of heavy restrictions being enforced, including no chair shots and no blood, as the program wanted to become more family-friendly. But after coming under new leadership and a change in the board committee, Blood made an impactful return. Even the Bad Blood PPV made its auspicious return last October after 20 long years.

Select a game mode that you would like to play. For blood, it is highly recommended that you choose game modes in which weapons are allowed. You can do this by changing the setting in a 1v1 match to No Disqualification or choosing a game mode like Extreme Rules.

If you don’t wish to use weapons, you can use strikes or grapple moves that concentrate the attack on the head region. Each wrestler has a different move set. So depending on the wrestler you choose, you can plan out your barrage accordingly.

With weapons, it is fairly simple to get your opponent to bleed quickly. Weapons such as steel chairs, kendo sticks, sledgehammers, steel steps, and various others can accelerate the pace at which you make your opponents bleed.
