How to get Age-Old Bond God Roll in Destiny 2
In order to get the Age-Old Bond Auto Rifle, the player needs to do encounters in the Last Wish raid which is located in the Dreaming City. Age-Old Bond can drop from any encounter or hidden chest inside of the Raid. Age-Old Bond can also be crafted at the Enclave once the Deepsight Pattern has been completely unlocked.
In order to acquire the Deepsight Pattern of the Last Wish Weapons, players will need to go to the Clan Vendor, Suraya Hawthorne at the Tower and acquire the “O Deepsight Mine” quest. This quest guarantees a red border weapon on completion and only requires that every encounter in the raid be completed. This quest can be completed weekly and once completed the player can purchase an additional Deepsight Pattern the player has unlocked in collections. Deepsight Patterns can also sometimes drop with the weapons acquired during the raid itself or have it applied to them with a Deepsight Harmonizer.
PvE Age-Old Bond God Roll
Slot | Trait |
---|---|
Barrel | Arrowhead Brake |
Magazine | Flared Magwell |
Column 3 Trait | Repulsor Brace |
Column 4 Trait | Destabilizing Rounds |
Origin Trait | Explosive Pact |
Masterwork | Stability |
Mod | Minor Spec |
Barrel: While the recoil direction on this weapon isn’t terrible, High-Impacts kick like a horse. Arrowhead Brake makes the kick go straight up and down and is an easy pick.
Magazine: High-Impact Frame auto rifles suffer from poor reload speed so Flared Magwell will compensate for that.
Column 3 Trait: There are lots of good perk options in both columns on this weapon, but for PvE there is very interesting perk combination of Repulsor Brace in this column paired with Destabilizing Rounds. This allows for a defensive benefit to pair with the offensive volatility of Destabilizing Rounds.
Column 4 Trait: Destabilizing Rounds is the choice here to pair with Repulsor Brace.
Origin Trait: Using grenades often will activate this nice little passive bonus.
Masterwork: High-Impact Frames kick hard and the stability masterwork will help that slightly. Reload Speed isn’t a bad choice either.
Mods: As a primary weapon, Minor Spec is the most common mod choice. Other mods may be used as well for certain situations.
Conclusion: This weapons interesting combo allows for some cool synergy. Final blows make targets Volatile (a void debuff) and then killing void debuffed targets grants an overshield. Conisering this weapon will be used for minor combatant clearing, that makes this a interesting and even powerful choice.
PvP Age-Old Bond God Roll
Slot | Trait |
---|---|
Barrel | Smallbore |
Magazine | Accurized Rounds |
Column 3 Trait | Dynamic Sway Reduction |
Column 4 Trait | Target Lock |
Origin Trait | Explosive Pact |
Masterwork | Stability |
Mod | Targeting Adjuster |
Barrel: As shown above, it is very easy to max out the range on this weapon. Smallbore will put the Range stat at 99 with no wasted stats. Conversely, the range barrel options will cause some wasted stats so best not to use those.
Magazine: Here Accurized Rounds is the best choice to get that Range stat as high as possible.
Column 3 Trait: Dynamic Sway Reduction will help this weapon’s kick. The more bullets on target the better, especially when considering the paired perk.
Column 4 Trait: Target Lock is just a really nice perk for PvP as it allows for some very forgiving damage increases. While not as optimal as Kill Clip, the power of Target Lock cannot be overstated.
Origin Trait: While more situational in PvP than PvE, this origin trait is still a decent free bonus.
Masterwork: Range is already almost maxed out so helping out this weapons poor Stability is the best option.
Mods: Targeting Adjuster is an easy choice. Making your enemies easier to hit is just a no brainer.
Conclusion: High-Impact Frames aren’t really the most effective choice for PvP, but can play at higher ranges than most auto rifles. This makes them feel more like Scout Rifles than auto rifles. Above all, Age-Old Bond has some interesting potential with the perks rolls suggested above perhaps even shaking the meta up.
