Welcome to the Destiny 2 Buzzard God Roll and How to Get guide. The Buzzard is a kinetic adaptive frame sidearm with great perks and good base stats. Sidearms are an option for those who prefer an aggressive playstyle in both PVE and PVP. They are generally used in place of an SMG while having better stats but less range. Having some of the fastest time to kill in the game makes them incredibly strong for close-range engagements and outplays.

How to Obtain the Buzzard
The Buzzard is obtainable from completing Nightfall strikes on a given week that the sidearm is available as a drop. You can also focus the weapon at Zavala under the Focused Decoding once the weapon has been obtained as a drop.
PvE Buzzard God Roll
Barrel | Chambered Compensator |
Magazine | Ricochet Rounds |
Perk 1 | Overflow |
Perk 2 | Frenzy |
Origin Trait | Vanguard’s Vindication |
Masterwork | Range |
Mod | Minor Spec |
Barrel: For our barrel perk, we are going with Chambered Compensator. This gives us as vertical recoil as possible while also giving a small boost in stability to make sure we consistently land our shots.
Magazine: Ricochet rounds are the choice for our mag. These give a slight boost in range and in stability while giving a passive bonus that the bullets can ricochet around corners finishing off an enemy that may have just stepped out of your line of sight.
Column 3 Perk: In this slot, Overflow is the go-to choice. Upon picking up an ammo brick whether special or heavy it will give you two times the magazine. Giving us a large amount of ammo to fire without needing to reload.
Column 4 Perk: With our last perk we are going with Frenzy. This will max our reload and handling
Masterwork: For the masterwork, range is the obvious pick. The overall range of sidearms are quite low so boosting that stat while allowing our perks to boost our other stats allows us to have a well balanced weapon.
Mod: Minor spec in your mod slot gives you increased damage to minor enemies or low health adds. Since this weapon’s primary function is add clear, minor spec gives us a little extra damage to the enemies we are trying to kill with this weapon.
Conclusion: Sidearms are a really fun option for PVE. They have strong add clear with good primary ammo damage. They engage well with close range aggressive playstyles having strong damage perks and good base stats.
PvP Buzzard God Roll
Barrel | Full Bore |
Magazine | Ricochet Rounds |
Perk 1 | Encore |
Perk 2 | Rangefinder |
Origin Trait | Vanguard’s Vindication |
Masterwork | Range |
Mod | Icarus Grip |
Barrel: For our barrel perk, we are going with Full Bore. This gives use the maximum range a barrel can give but it does reduce a few stats. However, with great base stats and other perks the negatives don’t effect much in exchange for range.
Magazine: Ricochet rounds are the choice for our mag. These give a slight boost in range and in stability while giving a passive bonus that the bullets can ricochet around corners finishing off an enemy that may have just stepped out of your line of sight.
Column 3 Perk: With the 3rd column our choice is Encore. It gives stacking range, stability, and accuracy after a kill for seven seconds. Its important to try and get precision kills as they will provide twice as many stacks giving you the buff faster.
Column 4 Perk: Rangefinder is the winner in this column. Rangefinder increases your zoom magnification when you aim down sights. Zoom is directly tied to your range and damage falloff giving you a boost in your engagement ranges.
Masterwork: As with most perks, we are going with a Range masterwork. Paired with everything else this helps maximize our range making sure we can engage from further distances.
Mod: Icarus grip is our choice of mod. Since our other stats are taken care of we are going to focus on buffing our weapon in air with a boost in airborne effectiveness.
Conclusion: Sidearms are great for aggressive playstyles in PVP with some of the fastest time to kill in the game. Buzzard paired with range perks lets us compete even with SMGs while still being incredibly strong and easy to use.
