Welcome to our Basso Ostinato God Roll Guide. The Basso Ostinato is a void rapid-fire shotgun from Neomuna with a strong perk pool for boht PVE and PVP. Shotguns fill a niche usage in PVE for being an up close damage dealer. Even though, Basso Ostinato is a rapid-fire frame which can be poor choices in PVP, it comes with some great perks making it an option for anyone without another shotgun to use.
How to Get Basso Ostinato
Obtaining Basso Ostinato drops is quite straightforward. Simply participating in public events, opening chests, completing activities on Neomuna have a chance to drop you more rolls on the Basso Ostinato. You can also obtain them as random drops from the Neomuna Location Vendor, Nimbus or the Terminal Overload activity.

Barrel: For our barrel, we are going with Barrel Shroud. This gives a large boost to our handling letting us draw our weapon faster do deal as much damage as fast as possible.
Magazine: With the magazine we are going to improve the weapons reload, stability, and give it a few extra bullets choosing Tactical Mag. This will allow us to reload faster and shoot more shots before needing to reload.
Column 3 Perk: Envious Assassin seems like a strong new perk for any non-primary weapon. It will reload your weapon from reserves by swapping to it after rapidly defeating other enemies.
Column 4 Perk: Our last perk we are going with is Destabilizing Rounds. This causes final blows with the weapon to make nearby enemies volatile giving this shotgun great ad clear potential while being a good close range damage weapon.
Masterwork: For the masterwork, handling is the obvious pick. Paired with our barrel this allows us to swap to our shotgun incredibly fast to either finish off a combatant or deal massive damage to a large health enemy.
Mod: Major Spec is my go to option here. This gives the weapon a small boost in damage towards higher health targets which the weapon is especially good at melting.
Conclusion: Rapid-Fire shotguns aren’t the strongest in PVE nor are shotguns hugely meta but they can be a fun option with the right build and the right perks. This weapon is definitely an outlier with some strong PVE ad clear perks with strong overall damage.

Barrel: For our barrel, we are going with Barrel Shroud. This gives a large boost to our handling letting us draw our weapon faster so that we can secure up close kills and compete with someone rushing our location.
Magazine: The magazine choice here is Accurized Rounds. Accurized Rounds give a massive boost to the range stat which gives you the greater chance to land your shots from even further.
Column 3 Perk: Perpetual Motion is a strong stat boosting perk. This perk gives a two times stacking increase in stability, handling, and reload just by moving. In PVP, you should be constantly moving so this perk should always be going.
Column 4 Perk: Opening shot is a must have perk here. A tried and true favorite for PVP weapons for its increased range, accuracy, and aim assist on your first shot of an engagement. This pushes the range of the shotgun and accuracy giving you the best chance to secure a one shot kill.
Masterwork: Similar to PVE we are going with Handling. Paired with our barrel this allows us to swap to our shotgun incredibly fast to either finish off a guardian or get our first shot off faster.
Mod: Handling masterwork is a must have. This masterwork allows us to ready and aim down sights faster which could give you a small advantage in your engagements.
Conclusion: Shotguns always have a place in the meta in PVP. Rapid-Fire frames are definitely a more niche pick but can be great weapons for cleaning up kills or to combo a shot with a melee for easy close range kills. Basso Ostinato is no slouch with its perks or stats making it a valuable pickup for any guardian.
