About Dragon’s Dogma II
Recently, an announcement revealed that Dragon’s Dogma II will officially release on March 22, 2024. Developed and published by Capcom, it is a single player, action/adventure RPG known for it’s unique enemy encounters and companion system. Additionally, Dragon’s Dogma II will feature an open-world map reportedly four times the size of the one explored in the original game.
The details we have so far suggest a similar plot and starting point for the story in Dragon’s Dogma II.However, it’s not yet clear if Dragon’s Dogma II is directly sequel to the first game. You will play as an Arisen, someone whose heart was literally stolen by a dragon. This connection to the dragon gives you powers, but your ultimate goal is to eventually find and slay it.
You’ll be joined in your quest by ‘Pawns’, which are the Dragon’s Dogma equivalent of other game’s companions. Pawns are mysterious beings who the Arisen can summon from the Rift. They can aid the player in battle and on their adventures through the world. In the previous game, you could also summon other player’s Pawns from the Rift. You could benefit from their experience in that other game/world, and vice versa.
