Fans of the iconic franchise are eager to know what kind of investment they’ll need to make to experience this highly anticipated game. With the promise of a vast open-world survival adventure set in the unforgiving universe of Dune, understanding the pricing structure is key to preparing for launch. What Price Will You Pay to Play Dune: Awakening?
There are three different editions of Dune: Awakening that you can currently pre-order, and the base game has a starting price of $49.99 USD. After that, the cost rises with the Deluxe Edition and again with the Ultimate Edition. Here are the prices for all three of the available editions of Dune: Awakening.
- Standard Edition – $49.99
- Deluxe Edition – $69.99
- Ultimate Edition – $89.99
Purchasing the Standard Edition will give you access to the full base game when the game releases on May 20, 2025. Secondly, the Deluxe Edition will give you the base game, 5 days early access, a Season Pass, and a special armor. Thirdly, the Ultimate Edition has all of the previous bonuses, along with a digital OST and artbook, building set furnishings, and color swatches.
Finally, if you pre-order any of these editions before the full launch date of May 20th, then you will get a couple of pre-order cosmetic bonuses. This includes a Sunset Dye Global Swatch (color pattern for armor, weapons, and vehicles) and a Terrarium of Muad’Dib furnishing for your base.
What Will Future DLCs Cost in Dune: Awakening?
Although the developers at Funcom have revealed that there will be future paid DLC content released for Dune: Awakening, they have remained quiet on the price. Recent reveals have indicated that they plan to release four DLCs for the game, with the first, Wildlife of Arrakis being released at the same time as the game.
Dune: Awakening will not have a subscription service, but will have an optional Season Pass that players can pay for. The individual cost of this Season Pass has not been revealed, but it is available as part of the package if you buy the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of the game. The price difference between the Standard and Deluxe Edition is $20.00. Consequently, we can expect that the individual season pass is likely to be close to that price.
