Funcom has officially revealed the global release schedule and pre-load details for Dune: Awakening, the highly anticipated survival MMO set in Frank Herbert’s iconic sci-fi universe. Whether you’re a hardened Fremen loyalist or a newcomer eager to claim your place among the dunes, knowing exactly when you can dive into the game, and how soon you can start preparing, is essential. Here’s everything you need to know about when Dune: Awakening goes live in your region and how to get a head start with pre-loading.
World Wide Release Times for Dune Awakening
In a new Twitter/X post, the developers at Funcom have revealed the release times for Dune: Awakening across the globe. Additionally, these times apply to both the Head Start launch that begins on June 5th and the Full Launch that releases on June 10th. The only way to play the game during the Head Start five days early is by pre-ordering the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition on Steam.
However, Funcom has clarified that players who start later on June 10th can choose ‘Full Launch’ only servers. Consequently, you will not have to compete against players who have been playing for the previous five days.

Pre-Load Information for Dune Awakening
You will be able to pre-load Dune Awakening 24 hours before the game’s Head Start launch on June 10th. Furthermore, this applies to everyone, including those who have not purchased the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions and will be playing on June 10th.
The pre-load announcement for Dune Awakening did not include any information about the specific file size for the game. However, in the recommended settings listed on Steam, Funcom recommends that players have at least 75 GB of space available.
Upcoming Mid to End Game Livestream for Dune Awakening
Finally, in the official blog post from Funcom regarding the release times, the developers remind you about their upcoming live stream on May 28th at 18:00 CEST, 12 pm EDT, and 9 am PDT. This live stream aims to pick up where the large-scale beta left off, giving you a glimpse of Dune Awakening beyond the early game.
They play to cover more advanced gameplay mechanics including The Landsraad, as well as explaining some of the systems and details on the PvP landscape of the Deep Desert. You can watch the live stream on either their Twitch or Youtube channels in just a couple of days.
