The Furnishing Vault in Elder Scrolls Online offers ESO Plus members 500 slots to store stackable furnishings.

Fulfilling a long-standing request from Elder Scrolls Online housing enthusiasts, the Furnishing Vault has been added to the game with Update 46. The 500-slot vault is available for ESO Plus members to declutter their homes. The feature makes managing furniture across several houses in Tamriel a breeze with stackable capacity for furnishings. Let’s take a closer look at this considerable quality of life feature and how it is implemented.
What Is the Furnishing Vault in Elder Scrolls Online?

The Furnishing Vault is a storage furnishing collective exclusive to ESO Plus members. It allows you to store up to 500 unique types of furnishings, each stacking up to 65,535 times. This means players can theoretically store over 32 million furnishing items in total, making it the most space-efficient solution for decorators and collectors alike.
The vault is introduced to help reduce home clutter and simplify inventory management across all player-owned homes. Once claimed from the ESO Plus Deals section of the Crown Store, the vault can be placed in any of your homes and accessed directly through the Housing Editor, even if the vault isn’t physically placed in the home.
How To Claim the Furnishing Vault
To claim the Furnishing Vault, open the Crown Store and navigate to the ESO Plus tab or find the vault in the Featured tab. You can type “Furnishing Vault” in the search bar of the store. Once you have found the vault, click on it and then press “Confirm” to claim it for free. The vault will now be accessible from your Housing Editor.
How To Use the Furnishing Vault in Elder Scrolls Online

After claiming the Furnishing Vault and placing it, you can access the vault in two ways:
- Interact directly with the placed vault furnishing inside any of your homes.
- Use the “Retrieve” tab in the Housing Editor, which allows you to move items between your homes and the vault.
If your ESO Plus membership expires, you can still access the vault to retrieve items, but more furnishings cannot be added to it until the membership is renewed.
Limitations and Storage Rules
While the Furnishing Vault is incredibly generous in storage space, not all items are eligible:
- Stolen furnishings
- Gemmable furnishings (those acquired from Crown Crates)
- Grandmaster Crafting Stations
Since you cannot store these items in the vault, you’ll need to manage them separately. You can only access the Furnishing Vault while you are within one of your homes.
