Escape From Duckov is an addictive game that has attracted many gamers. It is built with the Unity game engine and is incredibly well-optimized. However, the game can get tough, especially when you are going out to farm the Farm Town area or even the Vida boss for better loot. The default keybinds, as they are, can make your playthrough challenging. On the other hand, the game has a major visibility issue that we need to highlight. Let’s dig in.

Escape From Duckov – Gameplay and Visibility Settings
The default keybinds may feel awkward, as it is a top-down game with many similarities to ARPGs such as Diablo 4 and Path of Exile. That being said, we understand it’s an entirely different game, but the movement mechanics need some tweaking. The Standard key binds are suited to generic top-down gameplay but do not translate well to a fast-paced action-oriented scenario. Depending on your difficulty choice, you can expect fast-paced action pretty soon.
After playing multiple top-down titles, and this particular one too, we have jotted down a few suggestions that could help you hunt bosses in the game better.
Escape From Duckov – Best Keybinds
Since the game offers an extensive set of keybind options, we have kept most of them default, but have only changed the ones that have the greatest impact.
Sprint or Run is now on Caps Lock. You can change it to Left Alt. It is way easier than pressing both keys and the shift key at the same time. Sprint Key mode is now toggle-based, as holding the shift key for a long time can cause hand fatigue. Regarding melee, we have kept it at Left Alt, but you can change it to Caps Lock, whichever suits your playstyle. For boss hunting runs, you can switch to the Top-Down view. This increases your FOV. If you have a sniper rifle, you can spot hidden enemies. We have kept it at Y, but you can change it to Mouse button 3 (scroll wheel click).
The rest is pretty self-explanatory; just quality-of-life changes.

Escape From Duckov – Display and Graphics Settings
Optimization-wise, it’s fantastic; you don’t need to worry much about performance. However, there are a few things to discuss. The biggest distraction is the massive shimmering when using Zoom.
As of now, the game doesn’t support DLSS; otherwise, using DLAA as an anti-aliasing option would have almost eliminated the shimmering. As for the graphics settings, you can use them on virtually any gaming PC, from low-end to high-end.
