Persona 5 Tactica: Release Date
Persona 5 Tractica has a global release date of November 17, 2023. Developed by Atlus and P-Studio, and published by Sega, Persona 5 Tactica is a spin off of the popular franchise. However, it is still being produced by the original studios.
The developers have not yet announced any official release times for game. It’s possible that the actual release time may land on the day before for some timezones. We’ll update this space with that information as soon as its announced!
Persona 5 Tactica Platforms: Is Persona 5 Tactica an Exclusive?
Persona 5 Tactica is not an exclusive, and will release on a wide variety of platforms and consoles, including:
- Nintendo Switch
- PlayStation 4
- PlayStation 5
- Steam
- Windows PC
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series X/S
Additionally, if you have a Game Pass subscription on either Xbox or PC, Persona 5 Tactica will be available to you from day one.
Persona 5 Tactica: Story and Setting
The story of Persona 5 Tactica takes place during the events of the mainline game Persona 5. The characters from Persona 5, collectively known as the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, are mysteriously transported to another world. Or perhaps back in time? The Kingdom the characters find themselves in seems like something out of a fantasy book. There is little time to determine where they are, for they quickly find themselves at odds with a military group called the Legionnaires.
Caught unguarded, the group is in danger of being arrested. But a mysterious figure named Erina and her group of Rebel Corps appear to rescue them. The Phantom Thieves of Hearts decide to form an alliance with them, promising to help to take down the land’s authoritarian rulers. There may be more to Erina than meets the eye, however. Can she truly offer them the help they need? And how will the Phantom Thieves of Hearts find their way home?
Persona 5 Tactica: Gameplay
Persona 5 Tactica is a turn based, tactical role-playing video game. You as the player will control a party of up to three chosen party members. Combat will take place on a grid-based map. There is a number of different characters to choose from. Each with their own unique skills and abilities, which can be leveled. Preparing for fights by selecting the right characters, and then placing them strategically on the map will be essential to success.
When leveling up your characters, you will have the choice of a few different skill tree paths to choose from. When preparing your party for battle, you’ll want select characters whose skill and abilities synergize well together.
Additionally, character combos will be an exiting part of the game. The challenge is to position your party members so that they are surrounding the enemy forces. Doing so will give you the opportunity to unleash the Triple Threat, which is a crushing attack that deals massive damage.
Persona 5 Tactica: Launch Edition
The Launch Edition of Persona 5 Tactica is only available as a physical purchase of the game. This means that it’s not available for Windows PC or Steam. It’s listed retail cost is $60. For Nintendo Switch, Playstation and Xbox players, a purchase of the Launch Edition will get you:
- Full Game
- 2 Coasters
- Orpheus Picaro and Izanagi Picaro persona DLCs
Persona 5 Tactica: Digital Deluxe
Aside from the lack of physical coasters which the Launch Edition offers, the Digital Deluxe version surprisingly has more extras. Costing a more expensive $80, the Digital Deluxe edition of Persona 5 Tactica includes:
- Full Game
- Orpheus Picaro and Izanagi Picaro persona DLCs
- Repaint Your Heart Challenge Pack
- Weapon Pack
- Picaro Summoning Pack + Raoul Persona

Persona 5 Tactica: Digital Standard
The Digital Standard version of Persona 5 Tactica keeps things simple. Retailing for $60, purchasing this will get you access to the full game. If you pre-order the Digital Standard edition before release, then you will also get the Orpheus Picaro & Izanagi Picaro persona DLCs as a bonus.
