There have been lots of new features that will be arriving for the PlayStation Portal. These include but are not limited to the ability to sort your games, capture gameplay, and queue up for your gaming session.
Gameplay Capture For the PlayStation Portal

Now, you can use the Create button during a Cloud Streaming session as well. This button will allow you to take screenshots or record your gameplay in the form of a video as well. Here is how to use the feature:
- Press the Create button once to view the create menu.
- Hold the Create button to take a screenshot.
- Press the Create button twice to record and stop recording a video.
Game Sort Feature For the PlayStation Portal

This simple quality-of-life tool will let you sort the games you can play in whatever order you want. The sorting order includes:
- Recently added to PS Plus
- Name (A-Z)
- Name (Z-A)
- Release Date (Old-New)
- Release Date (New-Old)
Queue, Pause and Other Features
Earlier, if the servers were full, you would not be able to join a session of cloud gaming. However, this feature will now let you queue up and let you know how long you have before being able to join in.
Additionally, you will have the ability to pause your gaming sessions as well. You can do this in the following ways:
- Opening the PS Portal quick menu.
- Press the power button once to put the Portal into rest mode. However, if you leave it in rest mode for more than 15 seconds, you will be disconnected from the cloud streaming session.
- Any system error message will pause the game.
Lastly, you will now receive a system notification when you leave your portal inactive for 10 minutes. Leaving it inactive for 10 minutes will disconnect your cloud gaming session, so it will be quite helpful to receive an alert before it happens.
You will also be prompted with a user feedback screen after ending a gaming session, where you can rate your experience. How has your experience been while using the PlayStation Portal Cloud Game Streaming?
